Over the past few years many artists have devoted their time to help support the Shrewsbury Ark by taking part in The Big Busk, holding marathon playing sessions, collecting donations at gigs and so much more. Although they're not all in here yet, here's a small selection of the amazing people who give so much (in no particular order):

Fresh from her UK tour which launched her debut album, "Little Acts of Kindness", we're so pleased to have reggae singer/songwriter Beth Prior with us again this year. She'll be bouncing out her tunes and always pulls a huge crowd! Join her 25 February at The Dolphin in Shrewsbury when she officially launches her charity single from the album and kick starts the celebrations! Proceeds going to The Ark.

We are a medieval re-enactment group based in Shrewsbury. We started the group in 1991 and call ourselves, Les Miles des Marches. (the Knights of the Marches) We re-enact between 1066 and the War of the Roses, some 400 years of history. The group is affiliated with 2 major national societies so we are able to attend shows throughout the country, in battles with lots of people. We are always looking out for people who are interested in joining us, whether as a military character, or civilian; families are welcome and we find weekends away both entertaining and relaxing for all.

Topbananas are a duo, sometimes trio…family band, playing a mixture of reggae, blues, pop and rock, all in their unique style. The fourth member of the band is Louie the looper who helps create an all round topbanana sound. Also featuring vocals, guitar, saxophone and harmonica.

Shrewsbury born Singer – songwriter Paul Henshaw's new album, "I REFUSE TO SINK" is out NOW! Dubbed Shropshire’s answer to Frank Turner, Paul and his band, The Scientific Simpletons, say the album is definitely going to be an upbeat raucous affair, delving headlong into Folk Punk with songs about Love, Life and Hangovers Paul's a gig junkie and has seen him play from far flung reaches of Wisconsin coffee houses to sweaty punk gigs in Eastern Europe.
